Story Behind the Wine:
Inspired by our daughter Alice, who fills our home with song and dance, “A Song for Alice” was released in 2015 as a tribute to her lively persona. Born in 2010, Alice made a compelling case for equality, asserting that if her sister Lucy had her own wine, then she too deserved her very own vintage. The grapes for this Riesling are grown in the cool climate of Coonawarra, a region known for an extended growing season that helps Riesling preserve its natural minerality, making this wine as unique as Alice herself.
Flavour Profile:
Expect a vibrant symphony of flavours and aromas when you pour a glass of “A Song for Alice.” With fresh apples and pear leading the nose, the wine offers zesty lime and hints of pink lady apple on the palate, rounded off by subtle notes of pineapple and slate. A fuller mouthfeel than typical for a Riesling, it stands out for its fresh, vibrant character.
