Story Behind the Wine:
The essence of true friendship is captured in each bottle of “Angel’s Footprints.” This wine takes its name from the saying, “True friends leave footprints in your heart,” reminding us of the angels in our lives who lift us when we falter. Grown in Mount Gambier, a region even cooler than New Zealand’s renowned Marlborough area, the extended growing season imbues the grapes with an intricate array of flavors. The wine’s style and character stand as a tribute to enduring bonds.
Flavour Profile:
“Angel’s Footprints” is a bouquet of invigorating flavors: crisp apple melds with tart gooseberry, while undertones of passionfruit, apple, and melon provide complexity. This Sauvignon Blanc is both elegant and lively, the epitome of zingy refreshment.
Food Pairing:
This wine pairs splendidly with natural oysters or fresh salmon sashimi. For something more elaborate, consider serving it alongside char-grilled swordfish with a mango and macadamia sauce on a rocket, balsamic, and pear salad.
Cellaring Potential:
Sauvignon Blanc is typically best enjoyed young to capture its freshness. Once opened, and if stored correctly in the fridge, this wine will remain enjoyable for up to 3 days.
