Story Behind the Wine:
The Angel’s Wings blend is a harmonious marriage between two iconic varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. This is Koonara Wines’ first-ever blend, inspired by the quote from Italian writer Luciano de Crescenzo: “We are each of us angels with only one wing. And we can only fly by embracing each other.” The wine is crafted from an 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Shiraz ratio, offering a medium to full-bodied experience. The high concentration of flavour is due to our focus on growing smaller grapes packed with rich subtlety.
Flavour Profile:
A luscious palette of concentrated mulberries and dark chocolate is elegantly balanced by the cool mint and blueberry notes from the Cabernet Sauvignon. This blend sings of complexity with additional nuances of mint, blueberry, mulberries, and chocolate, making it a quintessentially Australian experience.
