Description
Mostly born during the war years, these ancients from different orbits have a natural affinity and when together create a wholesome and impressive display of uncomplicated joy. Separated by only a two-hour longitudinal drive through the cities of greater Adelaide, these two iconic regions speak the same vigneron’s language only with uniquely different accents. McLaren Vale and Barossa Valley have been mates for a long time, but nothing like the incredible blend of Grenache and Shiraz. In the best years we see what songs they can sing together as the Grenache, with its perfume and savoury Rhȏneish flavours, takes the tenor lead beside the rich baritone harmonies of the Shiraz. Smiles all round as we reintroduce these old mates…. A delicious duet!
